As Operations Director, Mark leads the management of Cellnex UK’s sites and infrastructure, which includes the delivery of customer installations, new infrastructure, upgrades and in-life service. Mark has worked in senior roles in the fixed and mobile infrastructure business for over 15 years. Experienced in operations and business transformation, he worked at the forefront of Openreach’s superfast programme and, within Arqiva and Cellnex, has been central to the journey towards a 5G UK. Mark has a Masters degree in Electronic Systems Engineering and, prior to entering the telecoms sector, worked as an engineer in the Royal Navy. Mark is married with three young children and loves to ride horses (ideally somewhere sunny!) in his spare time.

Prior to his current role Jonathan led the delivery function for Cellnex UK with accountability for customer installation and infrastructure upgrade activity; including completion of over 1,000 5G projects for MNO customers. Before this he held senior roles across strategy, product development and commercial disciplines at Arqiva; notable projects he has led include the first scale... [+] deployment of small cells in the UK and the first trial of 5G FWA in the UK. Between 2011 and 2014 he was a member of the Broadband Stakeholder Group Executive which is the UK governments advisory forum for telecoms policy. He has also presented as an SME at a number of conferences and forums (e.g. Cambridge Wireless SIG’s, eWestminster Forum, Connected Britain etc.) on subjects such as 5G, the future of mobile networks/infrastructure, and small cells. Before Arqiva he worked as a management consultant providing strategic advice to a number of telecoms, media and regulatory organisation including the BBC and Ofcom. Jonathan has a BSc (1.1) degree in Management, Operations and Technology from the University of Manchester. He is married with two children and enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities including triathlons and mountaineering.
