Barcelona, January 29, 2015.– The Fundación Bequal’s Certification Committee recently acknowledged abertis telecom’s decided commitment to the professional and personal development of workers with disability. This foundation is comprised of the Comité Español de Representantes de Personas con Discapacidad (CERMI), the Fundación ONCE, FEACEM and the Fundación Seeliger y Conde.
The Bequal Certification is an evaluation system that ascertains the company’s degree of engagement with social responsibility and disability in strategic areas of the organisation. Such is the case, for example, of the leadership and strategy area, top management’s commitment to people with disability, human resource management, universal accessibility, responsible purchasing policies, customer service and other management areas.
Last November, abertis telecom underwent an external audit and accessibility analysis by expert inspectors to rate its level of commitment and responsibility towards professionals with disability. Following this analysis, the Fundación Bequal decided to grant Abertis Telecom the Plus Category of the Bequal certification. This accreditation acknowledges the company’s work through its strategy targeting transversal inclusion and the management of disability throughout the organisation, its policy of the inclusion of diversity in human resources and in the products and services it offers its customers.
In this edition, the Fundación Bequal also evaluated Enagás, FREMAP and Aquadom as companies that embrace people with disability, and granted these companies its quality seal.
