Cellnex Italy extends its agreement with Linkem
- Cellnex Italy to give Linkem access its portfolio of approximately 8,000 towers and develop its LTE wireless-type fixed access services network in Italy.
- The agreement futher strengthens the partnership between Cellnex Italy and Linkem.
- The agreement increases the tenancy ratio of Cellnex sites in Italy, which continue to grow steadily, by 5%.
Rome, 14 December 2016.– Cellnex Italy, the Italian subsidiary of Cellnex Telecom, has signed an agreement with Linkem, the Italian operator with the highest market growth rates in broadband internet connections and the leader in fixed wireless services, to provide access to its portfolio of approximately 8,000 sites for the roll-out of Linkem’s LTE network.
The agreement further strengthens Cellnex partnership with Linkem, and is designed to deliver wireless-type fixed broadband and ultra-broadband services to an increasing number of Italian households and companies.
The operational staff of both companies are already working to prepare the sites to support the technology and the systems of Linkem’s network.
Gianluca Landolina, CEO of GalataSpA, a company of the Cellnex Italy group said: “The agreement with Linkem confirms Cellnex’s intention to become the partner of choice for the leading telecom operators in Italy. Our goal is to support our customers and provide them with increasingly innovative services through our extensive network. This agreement further strengthens Cellnex position as the main independent tower operator in Italy.”
