The purpose of the 5G Factories Primary Project (file code VEC-020100-2022-220) is to evaluate the implementation of private 5G networks to promote the digitalization of RENAULT plants in Spain. This will improve both current and future production processes related to the Electric and Connected Vehicle. The project seeks to analyze all the production processes of these plants and identify all the elements of the production chain impacted by communications, with the purpose of facilitating a more flexible and dynamic manufacturing model that favors the efficient production of the Electric and Connected Vehicle.

Tradia Telecom and Fivecomm are collaborating in the execution of the project, each contributing their experience and specialized knowledge. Tradia Telecom will focus on the analysis of the infrastructures and production processes of RENAULT plants, as well as on the engineering study for the implementation of a private 5G network, culminating with the respective conclusions. For its part, Fivecoom will carry out the analysis of the level of digitalization in the automotive industry, in addition to an engineering study focused on the use cases and the sensorization required of the Renault plants to meet the needs of digitalization.
