5G technology will soon be available in the El Sadar stadium
The El Sadar stadium will soon have 5G technology, substantially improving connectivity within the stadium and in its surrounding area in the southern area of Pamplona. The necessary infrastructures are currently being deployed and will soon be ready for use by mobile operators to provide 5G services to their respective customers.
After the start of the renovation works on the El Sadar stadium, the club began talks to have this 5G technology available. To this end, it reached an agreement with the company Cellnex to deploy the necessary telecommunications infrastructures and will additionally mean a fixed income for the club for the next 20 years. Cellnex has funded the investment in the DAS (Distributed Antenna System) equipment necessary to equip the stadium with 5G technology. DAS systems provide all spectators attending the pitch with optimal mobile coverage, even when maximum capacity is reached.
5G is the fifth generation of cellular wireless technology, offering faster upload and download speeds, more consistent connections, and improved capacity over previous technologies. 5G has the potential to transform the way we use the Internet to access applications, social networks, and information.
