Xavier Pujol, new Secretary General and Secretary of the Board of Cellnex
With this appointment, the company strengthens the governance structure of the Board following the proposal to appoint Luis Mañas as a director, which will be submitted for approval at the General Shareholders’ Meeting to be held on 9 May in Madrid.
Madrid, 4 April 2025. The Board of Directors of Cellnex Telecom, the leading European operator of telecommunications towers and infrastructure, has appointed Xavier Pujol as the new Secretary General and Secretary of the Board of Directors.
Xavier Pujol will assume the duties of the General Secretariat and the Secretariat of the Board –reporting to the Chairman of the Board and the CEO– and will join the Cellnex Management Committee on 26 May.
Xavier Pujol has 22 years of legal experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate governance, restructurings, and board positions. He joins Cellnex from Alantra Partners, where he has held the position of Secretary General since September 2021. Previously, he was Secretary General and Secretary of the Board of Directors of PRISA, and before that, he practised as a lawyer at Cuatrecasas and Latham & Watkins.
He holds a degree and a master’s in Law from ESADE, was a visiting student at the University of Minnesota, and has a PLD in Business Administration and Management from IESE. He has undertaken specialised studies in alternative investment at Harvard Business School and Corporate Governance at IESE. He received the Aptissimi Award from Esade Alumni Law in 2022.
