Cellnex included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality index for its commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion
- The index recognizes the company’s commitment and transparency regarding equal pay & gender pay parity, female leadership, inclusive culture and talent promotion.
Barcelona, 26 January 2022 Cellnex has been selected as one of 418 companies across 45 countries and regions to join the 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), a modified market capitalization-weighted index that aims to track the performance of public companies committed to transparency in gender-data reporting.
This reference index measures gender equality across five pillars: female leadership & talent pipeline, equal pay & gender pay parity, inclusive culture, anti-sexual harassment policies, and pro-women brand.
The index recognizes Cellnex’s commitment to advancing gender equality in the labour market by rolling out policies and initiatives to promote women’s professional careers and greater female representation in the organization. Likewise, it has valued the efforts that the company has been making in recent years to continue advancing in equal pay & gender pay parity, female leadership and talent promotion, inter alia.
The Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index helps to improve transparency on practices and policies related to gender equality and diversity in listed companies, increasing the quality of information in relation to environmental, social and corporate governance criteria (ESG) available to the capital markets.
“We are proud to recognize Cellnex and the other 417 companies included in the 2022 GEI for their commitment to transparency and setting a new standard in gender-related data reporting,” said Peter T. Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg and Founding Chairman of the U.S. 30% Club. “Even though the threshold for inclusion in the GEI has risen, the member list continues to grow. This is a testament that more companies are working to improve upon their gender-related metrics, fostering more opportunity for diverse talent to succeed in their organizations.”
Yolanda Menal, Global People Director of Cellnex, underlined that: “Being part of the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index reaffirms our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion, as one of the pillars of our corporate culture. Having diverse teams is also a source of added value to strengthen and enhance our growth”.
