Cellnex Telecom wins TMT Finance World Congress & Awards 2015
London, 2 December 2015.- Cellnex Telecom (CLNX), Europe’s leading independent operator of wireless telecommunications infrastructures, has been awarded the 2015 “Telecom IPO of the Year” at the TMT Finance World Congress Awards 2015.
Cellnex Telecom received the “IPO of the Year” award after the success of its IPO last May, in which a 66 % stake in the company was placed at an initial price of € 14. Shares are currently trading at around € 17.
The company was also nominated for the “Telecom Infrastructure Deal of the Year 2015” award for the purchase of a package of 7,377 towers from Wind in Italy for € 693 million. Following the operation, Cellnex Telecom now controls 90% of Galata, the company it acquired in the transaction.
