Cellnex appoints Ignacio Jiménez Soler as new Director of Public Affairs
He will join the company from Endesa, where he is Head of Communications
He will replace Toni Brunet, who ends a long period as an executive on 30 June
Barcelona, 13 May 2024. Cellnex has appointed Ignacio Jiménez Soler as the new Global Director of the group’s Public Affairs and Corporate Communication area.
He will take up this new post in July, coinciding with the end of the executive term of Toni Brunet, who has been in charge of the Public Affairs area of Cellnex since the company’s IPO in May 2015, the culmination of an extensive career in various professional projects in the chemicals, pharmaceuticals, energy and transport infrastructure sectors, and also as an entrepreneur.
Ignacio Jiménez, in his capacity as director of the Public Affairs area, will join Cellnex’s Executive Committee.
Ignacio Jiménez Soler has a doctorate cum laude in Information Sciences and a degree in journalism. He has held management positions in communication, public affairs, marketing and innovation in large multinational companies such as Liberty Mutual, BBVA, Telefónica and Enel. He is currently General Manager of Communication at Endesa. He has always combined his professional career with academic and research activity and has written several books and articles on communication, disinformation and innovation.
