Intervention in the Alphen aan de Rijn mast

The Cellnex transmission tower in Alphen aan de Rijn was successfully replaced, with the support of VolkerWessels Telecom. Using several large cranes, the new tower, which is approximately 40 metres high, was placed on the 135-metre-high #Cellnextower. The transmission tower is used for radio broadcasts, telephony and mobile internet, among other things – these were virtually uninterrupted during the replacement. Thanks to the hard work of all those involved and the sunny late summer days, the replacement went smoothly and according to schedule. Transmission towers like this are well maintained to comply with all laws and regulations, but after decades they are often due for replacement. Minor maintenance will be carried out in the coming week.
