Ilaria Pratesi, Cellnex’s new Global Director of Public Affairs
Barcelona, 28 April 2025. Cellnex Telecom, Europe’s leading telecommunications infrastructure operator, has appointed Ilaria Pratesi as the Group’s new Global Director of Public Affairs, joining the company’s Public and Corporate Affairs and Communications team led by Ignacio Jiménez Soler.
Ilaria Pratesi, who holds a degree in International and Diplomatic Sciences from the University of Trieste and a Master’s in Institutional Relations and Public Communication, has extensive experience in public affairs and strategic consulting.
For over ten years, she held key positions at one of the biggest federations of Confindustria, where she coordinated institutional relations and lobbying activities, working closely with Parliament and the Government to represent business interests, analyse legislative measures, contribute to the development of industrial policy, and promote strategic initiatives. Throughout her professional career, she has also worked for consulting firms, managing strategic relations with public institutions, overseeing legislative processes, and developing communications and advocacy campaigns.
In 2019, she was appointed Head of Public Affairs at A2A, Italy’s largest utility company (energy, waste, public lighting, electric mobility, connectivity solutions for smart cities, etc.) and one of the largest in Europe. In 2023, she was included by Forbes in the list of the ten best Italian lobbyists.
Ignacio Jiménez Soler, Global Director of Public and Corporate Affairs and Communications at Cellnex, underlined “Ilaria Pratesi’s professional acumen and her joining the team will help us to bolster the company’s public affairs strategy in the ten countries in which we operate, highlighting the strategic role of telecommunications infrastructure at European level, and especially that of Cellnex as a leader in the sector, in the current era of hyperconnectivity.”
