Cellnex leader in the fight against climate change according to CDP

• The company has revalidated its spot on the “A List” for the sixth year running.
• CDP is one of the global benchmark indices assessing organisations’ performance in environment and sustainability matters.

Barcelona, 24 April 2025. Cellnex Telecom has been recognised for the sixth consecutive year as a global leader in corporate transparency and performance for its action against climate change, by being included in the ‘A List’ compiled by CDP, a non-profit organisation specialising in environmental disclosure and rating of companies, whose report is considered the ‘gold standard for corporate environmental transparency’.

CDP has assessed the climate strategy of the independent telecommunications infrastructure operator, which has managed to reduce its Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 95% thanks to the use of renewable energy, which currently accounts for 91% of the Group’s total energy consumption, and its Scope 3 emissions related to purchases by 19% thanks to the collaboration established with its main suppliers.

Following this recognition, Alicia Fernández del Viso, ESG Director at Cellnex, stated that “we are extremely proud to receive this recognition from CDP for the sixth consecutive year because it demonstrates the strength of our climate strategy. Environmental protection and the fight against climate change are two key commitments in Cellnex’s sustainability strategy. We are making a great effort to develop and implement good environmental practices and, as a result, we have made considerable progress in meeting the targets we set ourselves for 2030.” She added, “In line with this, we have set ourselves more ambitious targets and are committed to validating our net-zero goal through the SBTi.”
