Cellnex improves its FTSE4Good sustainability rating
Cellnex keeps improving its valuation in the field of sustainability. The company obtained one of the highest scores in its sector in the annual results of the FTSE Russell FTSE4 Good index.
The company obtained an overall score of 4.4 out of 5 in the ESG criteria (Environment, Social and Corporate Governance) compared to 3.9 out of 5 registered in 2018, far exceeding the average of the telecommunications sector at 2, 9 out of 5.
The FTSE4Good index includes the leading sustainability companies worldwide.
In the corporate governance rating in 2019, Cellnex stands out both in anti-corruption measures and in its corporate governance structure (Board of Directors), with the highest possible score (5 out of 5). Regarding its environmental index Cellnex obtain a very significant progress. The company achieved one point more (4.3 in 2019), that is more than doubling the average rating for the telecommunications sector, which was 2.4 points last year.
Regarding its social rating, Cellnex keeps its bullish trend and achieves 4 points out of 5 compared to a 2.9 average in the sector. The company has the same note in the subcategories of human rights and community, labour standards and social supply chain (4 out of 5).
