Growth and Empowerment journey
Strengthening female leadership within the organisation was the central focus of two programmes launched by Cellnex this year: “Take the Lead” and “Female Empowerment Itinerary”.
Through various training and development activities, these programmes have not only impacted the lives of participants but have also created a space allowing them to support and connect with each other. “The programme has given me a fantastic opportunity to grow and connect. I have learned a lot from the workshops and the different perspectives shared by my colleagues. It was inspiring to see the incredible talent within our organisation and to connect with other female leaders from various departments. Sharing our challenges and successes created a powerful sense of camaraderie and support,” says Anna Bialas, a participant in the first edition of “Take the Lead” and Cellnex Poland professional.
“Take the Lead” is a leadership programme designed to provide tools and skills to enable women within Cellnex to develop leadership roles in their respective fields. The programme has three main objectives: empowerment to strengthen executive careers and promote significant change within the company, increasing visibility as leaders by ensuring recognition of contributions and achievements, and finally, expanding influence to lead with impact and promote inclusive and diverse leadership.
Aimed at talented women with international profiles from various business units, the programme fosters a collaborative environment in which participants share experiences, best practices, and innovative ideas. With a focus on self-leadership and personal development, the programme includes training sessions and practical activities to facilitate participants’ all-round growth. This first edition consisted of six modules, with a total of 30 hours of intensive training, which were delivered over a six-month period.
“These six months have been an incredible learning journey for all the women who took part. We are immensely proud of your achievements and successes. It was truly inspiring to witness such dedication, enthusiasm and growth. This programme not only provided our female leaders with invaluable skills, but also fostered a sense of community and collaboration that will continue to drive our organisation forward” said Susana Herreros, Global Head of Talent & Leadership at the Cellnex Group.
The first Female Empowerment Itinerary, for its part, began in September 2024 and over eight months provided 96 women from all the countries where Cellnex operates with the necessary tools to shape their professional futures. With an average of 14 hours of activities per participant, six “I AM Remarkable” sessions, several personality tests, self-leadership and personal development training, and mentoring sessions, the goal is to forge powerful connections and amplify the impact.
“We want to thank all the participants in this first edition for their enthusiasm, dedication, and the incredible energy they brought to the programme. Each of you has contributed to creating a supportive and empowering community, and we are immensely proud of the growth and achievements you have shown,” says Jane Nash, programme facilitator and part of Cellnex’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) team and a Cellnex UK professional.
This was a unique opportunity for the company staff members who participated in the programme to empower themselves. “These sessions have opened my eyes to the broader scope of the company, helping me to feel more connected to Cellnex as a whole and, in particular, to the network of women within the organisation. Sharing moments and experiences with other colleagues has been truly inspiring,” says Magdalena del Haro, a participant in the first edition of the Cellnex’s Female Empowerment Itinerary and Cellnex Spain professional.
“Taking part in this programme has been a transformational experience. It has provided me with valuable resources and opportunities to develop my skills and confidence, particularly in terms of how I can now objectively prove what I have achieved, despite some challenges, which is one takeaway from the invaluable “I AM Remarkable” sessions. Through various workshops and mentoring sessions, I have gained a deeper understanding of my strengths and the areas where I need to improve,” explains Barkha Rathod, a participant in the first edition of Cellnex’s Female Empowerment Itinerary and a Cellnex UK professional.
With these successful programmes, Cellnex has proven its firm commitment to promoting diversity and female empowerment within the organisation. These efforts have not only had a positive impact on the lives of the participants, but have also strengthened the company’s community fabric, creating an environment where every leader can flourish and contribute to collective success. The second editions of “Take the Lead” and the “Female Empowerment Itinerary” are already scheduled for this year and promise to continue this valuable development and leadership mission. With initiatives like these, Cellnex continues to pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable future.
